Soon after this was war was ended, and he was  given an honorable discharge. In 1871, he came to Missouri and soon after began work for the Frisco railroad in the constriction service and had been with the company ever since. He begun as a laborer and from time to time was promoted - for efficient work and for some time has been general inspector of bridges and buildings for the entire system and was a considered a valuable man by the railroad company and drew a good salary. Last May, he made his headquarters in New Orleans, La. Having always lived in the North and not being used to the southern climate, it through that while there, he may have contracted the disease that caused his death. Suffice it to say that he came home in November to doctor up, but it proved to be his last trip, and he gradually grew worse until death came. In 1879, Mr. Kinlock was married to Miss Eliza Maulding. He carried a $2,000 life insurance policy in the Bankers Union of Des Moines, Ia, a home in this city and other annuities that will materially help the stricken family left behind. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the M. E. Church under the auspices of the Masonic order of which he was a member with interment in the Seneca cemetery/ Rev. S. A. French delivered the funeral sermon. And this the life of a good man was spent and ended, and who shall not say that it is not well? He was a member of no church, but his religion was the golden rule, and the good and noble deeds that he did in his lifetime are to his credit and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him, particularly to his bereaved family. Peace to his ashes and love to the memory of a good man. - Seneca Dispatch.
