Nine graves were moved from the Edwards Cemetery to the McConnell Cemetery

Becky Schimek has adopted this cemetery which was read 3 March 2000.

There is a tall white marble stone near the middle of the McConnell Cemetery which reads "Nine Christian County Pioneers laid to rest before were re-interred here 10 December 1994. Removed from Nixa's Edwards Cemetery which exists no more. The names inscribed the lives we can record, the others identified known only by our Lord."
