Verlin Lee Bolin was born Oct. 7, 1942 and died Nov. 5, 1944 at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Bolin of Nixa. Besides his parents, he is survived by a half brother, Cleytus Bolin; four half-sisters, Mrs. Kattie Coker, Mrs. Enos Cook, Miss Bernice Bolin and Mrs. Marta Simmons. Funeral services held Monday afternoon at Union Chapel were conducted by Rev. Roscoe Harding with burial in McConnell Cemetery under direction of the Wilburn Maples Funeral Home of Nixa.

Verna J. Bolin, 56, died Monday night, Jan 5 at his home west of Highlandville. A farmer and stockman, Mr. Bolin had lived in Highlandville community for the past 34 years. He was a member of the Highlandville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorssie; two sons, Claude of Highlandville and Roger Gene of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Donham of Highlandville; four brothers, Pleas and Earl , both of Highlandville; Wilmot of Ft. Scott, Kan. and Ray of Nevada; two sister, Mrs. Quinnie Bailey and Mrs. Nora Smith, both of Ft. Scott; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Highlandville Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Hanks officiating. Burial was in Highlandville Cemetery under direction of Chaffin of Ozark.

Wayne Ray Bolin, 50, of Highlandville, passed away Aug. 6, 2010, in his home. He was born Oct. 3, 1959, the son of Harold and Sylvia (Sturdefant) Bolin. On Feb. 23, 1990, he and Joyce Kay Keithley were united in marriage. Joyce, the love and light of his life, passed away in 2002. Wayne was a concrete worker and enjoyed arrowhead hunting. He was saved at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church of Highlandville. Survivors include his loving family: Parents, Harold “Shorty” and Sylvia Bolin with whom he shared a home; two children and their spouses, Brad and Mara Gideon, and Leigha and Jason Pellegren, all of Nixa; three grandchildren, Ethan, Makenna and Cayleigh; two brothers, Randy Bolin and Dennis Bolin, both of Highlandville; and a sister, Lora Bolin, Highlandville. Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Aug. 9, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastors Frank Bostic and Jack Bilyeu officiating. Burial followed in Highlandville Cemetery. Wilma Bolin, 94, Ozark, Mo., passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at 12:25 a.m. in Cox South, Springfield. She was born Nov. 10, 1910, in Christian County, the daughter of Percy Green Melton and Tena (Deboie) Melton. She lived in the Highlandville community where she also attended school. She was a member of the Highlandville Church of Christ. On July 27, 1929, she was united in marriage to Earl Bolin and to this union three children were born. In 1979, she moved to Ozark after the death of her husband, Earl. Wilma was a homemaker, a devoted wife, a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother. She was also a faithful member at the South Side Church of Christ, Ozark, where she attended regularly until her health failed. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren who loved her so very much. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Earl; and a son-in-law, Bob Johnson. Wilma is survived by a son, Robert Bolin and wife Becky of Sparta, Mo.; two daughters, Joan Fulton and husband Jamie of Ozark, and Erva Lou Johnson of Sparta; four grandchildren, Connie Spies and husband Joe of Watauga, Texas, Mike Fulton and wife Vonda of Sparta, Mo., Mark Bolin and wife Becki of Chadwick, Mo., and Michelle Belthius and husband Butch of Oldfield, Mo.; five great-grandchildren, Kimberly Spies, Derek Spies, Amanda Rhoads, Catilin Bolin, and Denise Fulton; and many loving friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in the Highlandville Cemetery, Highlandville, Mo. Wonda Ruth Bolin, 83, Highlandville, died Saturday evening in Cox Medical Center South. She was born 5 Nov 1905 to Marion and Lutisha Ellingsworth.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ples Bolin in 1982, and a son, Charles Jr., 1937. Survivors include her son Harold, Highlandville, her brothers, Melvin Ellingsworth, Ozark, and Ershel Ellingsworth, Springfield. A sister, Mildred Blevins, Highlandville, three grandsons, a granddaughter, and four great granddaughters. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Harris Colonial Chapel, 301 W. Church Street, Ozark, with Reverend Howard Blevins and Gary Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 – 9 pm today in the funeral home. Adella A. Boller, 42, Hutchinson, Kan., formerly of Topeka, Kan., died Monday, Oct. 1, 1990, in her home. She was born Feb. 4, 1948, in Columbia to Earl and Bessie Rogers Arms. She attended Springfield High School. She was employed as a librarian at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility and was a member of the Kansas Library Association. She was married Oct. 10, 1981, to Marvin L. Boller in Lincoln, Neb. Survivors include her husband, Marvin, of the home; two daughters, Hannah and Rachel, of the home; her parents, Earl and Betty Arms, Springfield; two brothers, Louis, Springfield, and Leland, Woodstock, Ill.; and sister, Earline Dikeman, Manhattan, Kan, Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday) at the First Church of the Nazarene, Hutchinson, Kan., with Larry W. Paul Martin Bolley, 89, Clever, died Monday morning in Primrose Place Nursing Home, Springfield after a long illness. Services will be held Thursday 1:30 p.m. at the Christian Church at Clever with Rev. John Wiley officiating, and burial at the Wise Hill Cemetery under the direction of Meadors Funeral Home. A former owner of Clever Lumber company, Mr. Bolley served two terms as Mayor of Clever. He was a member and elder of Clever Christian Church, a member of Billings Masonic Lodge No. 379 AF & AM and a former member of both the Clever Lions Club and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Nell; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Longmoore, Overland Park, Kan.; two brothers, George and Kenneth, of the state of Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Hamilton and Mrs. Mae Launchbaught, both of the state of Colorado; and one grandchildren.

Juanita Bollinger, 85, Nixa, Mo., passed away March 27, 2007, in Manor Care. She was born January 14, 1922, in Seymour, Mo., and spent her life in the area. She married Howard Bollinger, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were her parents, Robert and Anne Cardwell, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son, James Howard Bollinger, and two sisters-in-law, Lucy Ryan, Hastings, Minn., and Donna Bollinger, Springfield, Mo. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 31, at 10 a.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, Mo. Burial is to follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Wanda Jean Bollinger, daughter of Orville Nelson and Sara Elizabeth (Seals) Ritter, was born April 10, 1928, in Ava, Mo. She departed this life Friday, February 29, 2008, in St. John's Mercy Villa, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 19 days. On September 2, 1956, she was united in marriage to George Merritt "Speedy" Bollinger, and to this union one daughter was born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Speedy, on December 5, 2003; her parents; three brothers, Norman, Delbert and Dewey Ritter; one sister, June Hunt; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Mary, Barbara and Virginia Ritter. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Donna Sue Bollinger, of Springfield, Mo.; three brothers, Dallas "Neil" Ritter and his wife, Lavonne and Delmas Ritter and his wife, Carole, all of Springfield, Mo., and Ray Ritter of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Margaret Parker and her husband, Boyd, of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Ritter of Ozark, Mo. and Jerry Ritter, of Springfield, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Jacob Bollinger and his wife, Elaine, of Nixa, Mo; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of other relatives and many friends. She was born and raised in the Ava and Hammond Mill areas, following her marriage to Speedy, she moved to Seymour. She worked for the HD Lee Company, in Seymour, for 20 years as a quality controller and also helped her husband at Speedy's Caf’ntil his retirement in 1991. Wanda had made her profession of faith in Christ and attended the Wesley United Methodist Church in Springfield. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, fishing, working crossword puzzles and listening to country music, especially Merle Haggard. She also loved reading Zane Grey western books Wanda was a loving mother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and many accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Services for Leona Bomer, 59, Springfield,, were held Nov. 17 in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with Prentice Meador officiating. Burial was in Springfield National Cemetery. Mrs. Bomer died Nov. 14 in Springfield Community Hospital. A native of Gage, Okla., she had been a resident of Springfield since 1976. She was a former nurses aid and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Linda May McDaniel, Ozark; two sons, Jimmie Dale and William Chester, both of Springfield; one sister, Faye Horn, Oklahoma; two brothers, Max Kane, Texas and John H. Funeral services for Mrs. Francis Ann (Aunt Sis) Bond, 80, who died at her home near Shady Grove on Sept. 9, were held last Friday at Shady Grove church, conducted by the Rev. Reg M. Mapes, with burial in Shipman cemetery under direction of the Chaffin Funeral Home of Ozark. She was the daughter of Jim and Minerva Johnson and was married to William Robertson. To this union were born three children, Alice Robertson, Lora Workman, and Jim Robertson. Mr. Robertson preceded her in death. She was later married to Moses Bond, who died in 1916. Mrs. Bond was a long time member of the Shady Grove Baptist church.

Doyle S. "Sandy" Bonds Jr., 61, of Springfield, departed this world on February 27, 2006, with his wife, Mary, and family at his side, as he began eternal life where there's never any troubles or pain, the sun is always shining and, of course, the fish are always bitin'. He was born April 18, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Doyle and Rosie Bonds. He grew up in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and graduated from Mammoth Spring High School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, he moved to St. Louis where he met and married his wife Mary and began a lifelong career with the Frisco Railroad. In 1973 they moved to Springfield where he finished out his career with the railroad. In 1986 he became a friend of Bill W., from whom he met many dear friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman his whole life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Alice Bonds, and Frank and Mary Johnson. He is survived by his parents, Doyle and Rosie Bonds of Hollister, Mo.; his wife, Mary; son, Doyle S. Bonds III and his wife, Cindy; daughter, Tina Cook, all of Nixa; sister, Donna Aldridge and husband, Davis, of Florida; granddaughters, Brooklynn and Chloe; and grandson, Jefferson. Doyle was a dear son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, brother in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many, and will be deeply missed by all. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 4, 2006, at 11 a.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel, 1947 E. Seminole. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Argie Eula Bonner, age 87, of Springfield passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2000 at Manor Care in Springfield. Mrs. Bonner was born in Ozark to Jesse and Bessie (Hawkins) Jones on February 25, 1913. She married James Troy Bonner on June 2, 1928, who preceded her in death, as did a son, Bob Bonner, on August 29, 1991. Survivors include: a son, Jim Jr. of Rogersville, a brother, Johnnie Jones of Forsyth; six grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 9, at the Center Point Church of Christ in Rogersville. Charles White officiated, as Adams Funeral Home in Ozark handled the arrangements. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Fair Haven Children's Home in Strafford.

Bob "Bobby" Keith Bonner, 59, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1991 at his home in Placerville, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Judi, of the home, two sons, a daughter and her family in California and a daughter and her family in Oregon. He is also survived by his parents, Jim and Argie Bonner, Selma, Calif., and one brother, James Bonner, Rogersville. Bonner grew up in the Ava and Rogersville areas and graduated from Rogersville High School in 1951. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Center Point Church of Christ near Rogersville. The family requested that donations go to Hospice of California or Fair Haven Children’s Home, Strafford.

Mr. and Mrs. Nesum Bonner of Salem, Calif., were notified last week from navy headquarters of the death of their youngest son, Don. He was a mechanic, first classman, on a navy bomber and was killed at sea. The Bonners are well known in Christian county having lived in the Mentor vicinity for many years before going to Salem in 1937. Prior to that time Don attended school at Rogersville. He joined the navy in 1940. Besides his parents he is survived by one sister and six brothers. Four of the brothers live in Missouri.

Mrs. Frank Bonner, 39, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, after a lingering illness at the General Hospital in Fresno, Calif. Mrs. Bonner, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Spencer, was born and reared at Ongo, Mo., later moving with her family to Linden. Survivors are the husband, the parents, two sons, Leonard of Portland, Ore., and Harold Lloyd, who resides at Linden with his grandparents, one grandchild of Portland, Ore., a sister, Mrs. Sam Stone, and one brother, Preston, of Linden. Mrs. Stone left immediately to attend the funeral services of her sister to be held at Selma, Calif.

Bonner was born in Taney County and raised in rural Greene County. He was retired from Massey Ferguson, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Billie; one sister, Mrs. Nina Goddard of Dumas, Texas; four brothers, George of Springfield, Roy of Harrisonville, Jim of Selma, Calif and Burris of Reedley, Calif. James Troy Bonner, Sr., age 91, of Springfield, died Monday, Sept. 22, 1997, at The Cambridge. He was born March 4, 1906 in Taney County and was the son of Newsom and May (Batt) Bonner. On June 2, 1928 he and Argie Jones were united in marriage. In 1937 they moved to California where they lived until 1993. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Engineers Local Union #3 in California. He had also been a commercial bus driver. Mr. Bonner was a member of Southside Church of Christ, Ozark. Survivors include: his wife, Argie; a son, James T Bonner, Jr. and his wife, Beverly, Rogersville; six grandchildren, James Timothy Bonner, Reeds Spring, Kim Ray Bonner, Fordland, Cathy Williams, Newport Beach, Calif., Judy Lloyd, Morgan Hill, Calif., Randy Bonner, Gilroy, Calif., and Robert Bonner, Livermore, Calif.; two step-grandchildren, Kelly Ritter, Rolla, and Debbie, of Calif.; two daughters-in-law, Ida Williams, Morgan Hill, Calif., and Judy Bonner, Pleasanton, Calif.; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, George Bonner, Springfield; a sister, Nina Goddard, Abilene, Tex.; nieces and nephews. Junetta Pauline (Kinser) Bonner, age 83, Ozark, died Dec. 17, 2002, in her home after a short illness. She was born June 24, 1919, in Christian County, the daughter of William Henry and Letha Frances (Daugherty) Kinser. She married Louis Gail Bonner who preceded her in death. A brother, Leland Kinser also preceded her in death. Mrs. Bonner was a member of Hopedale Baptist Church, the Kinser Club, and Palace Garden Club. She had worked for General Electric for ten years. Survivors include her son, Curtis Bonner and wife Beverly, Kirksville; two granddaughters, Stacey Bailey and husband Matthew, Ozark, and Kimberly Bonner, with whom Mrs. Bonner shared her home; seven brothers and sisters, Eugene Kinser, Springfield, Leslie Kinser, Rogersville, Benny Kinser, Raytown, M.E. "Pete" Kinser, Rogersville, Lillian Breid, Springfield, Ann Kinser-Fielder, Springfield, and Doris Bishop, Kansas City. Funeral services for Louis Bonner, 58, Rogersville, were at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Ralph Thieme Chapel, Springfield, with the Rev. John Perryman officiating. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery. Mr. Bonner died at 10:25 a.m. Friday in the intensive care unit at Cox Medical Center, Springfield from injuries suffered Wednesday in a 20-foot fall from a scaffold at the Springfield YMCA where he was working on a construction project. Surviving are his wife, Junetta; a son, Curtis Bonner; five brothers, George of Springfield, Roy of Protem, James and Frank, both of Selma, Calif. and Burnis of Redley, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Ina Goddard of Dumas, Tex.

Lucy Day was born on Aug. 17, 1902, at the family home near Smyrna, in Christian county. She died at her home at Pembina, on May 12, 1933, at the age of 31 years. Lucy was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Day, and was united in marriage to Roy Bonner on Oct. 6, 1923, at Ozark. To this union were born two daughters, Ruth, aged 9, and Ruby, aged 7. Besides the husband and daughters, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. George Day, two brothers, C.E. Day and John Day, of Ozark; and three sisters, Mrs. Martha Smith of Rogersville, and Mrs. Allie Gann and Mrs. Georgia Baird, of Ozark and Rogersville, respectively. She was converted at the age of 18 and on Oct. 23, 1920, united with the Smyrna Baptist church, where her membership remained until the time of her death. Funeral services were conducted at the Pembina cemetery Sunday, May 14, at 2 p.m., by Rev. Ross Carter, with burial in the Pembina cemetery under direction of T.B. Chaffin.

Mrs. Bonner died Sunday in Cox Medical Center after a five year illness. She was the assistant manager of the auditing department of the Springfield Branch Office of MFA. She was a member of Center Point Church of Christ here. Survivors include her husband, Jimmie; two sons, James Timothy, Reeds Spring and Kim Ray, Rogersville; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Haggard, Rogersville; two brothers, Ray Dane, Rogersville and Joe Glen, Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Una Marie Miller, Rogersville and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Booker, 95, a resident of this section since she was seven years old, died Saturday morning at her home about seven miles southeast of Springfield. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 o’clock at the Dodson cemetery about 12 miles southeast of Springfield, Rev. B. F. West conducted the services. Mrs. Booker was the wife of J.B. Booker, a pioneer of this country. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Susan Kerr, of Springfield. She was an aunt to Mrs. R.R. Farthing and J.A. Kerr of Ozark and Dr. H.L. Kerr of Crane.

Cassanda Tennis Bookout was born in Greene County, Missouri on November 7th, 1840 and died January 4th, 1929, at the home of Bud Haslip, while visiting a sister. She was married to Addison Tennis in 1859. To this union were ten children, only three of whom survive. There are one daughter, Mrs. Ollie Webber and two sons, Robert Tennis and William Tennis, all living at Galena, Kansas. Besides these children, she is survived by one sister, Nancy C. Haslip, also by 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. She was converted when a little girl and lived a Christian all her life. The funeral services were held Sunday, January 6th, at the Selmore Baptist church by Rev. W. P. Richardson with burial in the Selmore cemetery under the direction of T. B. Chaffin

Beulah F. Boone, age 85, of Ozark, passed away in The Manor of Elfindale, with her family at her side Saturday, August 13, 2005, from complications of Alzheimer's Disease. She was born February 27, 1920, in Ozark, the daughter of Charley and Etta (Thomas) Bilyeu. During her working career, Mrs. Boone served Christian County as Clerk for the Magistrate and Probate Courts. She was a lifelong democrat and was proud to be politically active for her party. She was also a devoted homemaker, who loved her family and enjoyed their company. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hiram Anderson; her second husband, Claude Boone; her son, H.J. "Joe" Anderson; and three brothers. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Anderson, Springfield; two grandchildren and their spouses, Rick and Joann Anderson, Ozark, and Pam and Tim Garrett, Ozark; four great-grandchildren, Misty Dunlap and her husband, Gary, Nixa, Josh Garrett, Warrensburg, Katy Stark and husband, Joe, Ozark, and Casey Jo Anderson, Ozark; and a great-great-grandchild, Zaylee Jo Dunlap. A graveside funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, in Prospect Cemetery, south of Ozark, with Pastor Harold Peters officiating. Mr. Boone, a native of Gainesville, lived his early life in Gainesville. He moved to Mountain View in 1946 and to Ozark in 1948. An attorney with a law degree from Cumberland College in Tennessee, he was postmaster at Gainesville for several years, He owned Ozark Abstract for several years and served two terms as magistrate and probate judge in Christian County. He was a member of Ozark Christian Church and Grand Masonic Lodge No, 352 AF&AM. Survivors include his wife, Beulah, Ozark;; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Heard, Ozark; two grandchildren; a stepson, Joe Anderson, Rogersville; two step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Boone. Mrs. Boone was a native Gamaliel, Ark and moved here in 1948. She had also lived several years at Gainsville. She was a member of the First Christian Church here, the Eastern Star, Psi Psi Psi and the Modern Seekers. Betty J. Booth, 69, Ozark, died at 2:10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 1994, in Ozark Nursing Care Center. She was born May 31, 1925 in Highlandville, the daughter of Robert and Minnie Harp Phipps. She lived most of her life in the St. Louis area having returned to Ozark in 1993. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Dennis McConnell, in 1984. Survivors include one son, Scott McConnell, and his wife, Janice, Ozark; one sister, Rosalee Morgan, St. Louis; one grandson, Cody Dillon McConnell, and one granddaughter, Amanda McConnell, both of Ozark; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jonathan Wayne Booth, son of Robert and Eileen Wambach Booth was born October 11, 1954 in Rahway, New Jersey. He departed this life Thursday, November 14, 1996, at his home in Grovespring, Missouri, at the age of forty-two years, one month and three days. On April 23, 1987, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Margaret Kortlang. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jonathan is survived by wife, Kathleen, of the home; two stepsons, William Bassak III, and his wife, Dana, Nixa, Keith Bassak, Nixa, two step-grandchildren, Alexis Holland and Crawford Bassak; a sister, Holly Sytch, Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania; also a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in New Jersey and around the age of twenty he moved to the Greene County area. For fifteen years he lived near Nixa. Jonathan and Kathleen had made their home in Marshfield for a year, before moving to Grovespring a few months ago. Throughout his life he worked as a truck mechanic. In his spare time he liked to hunt and fish. He especially enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycle. Jonathan will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Larry Von Booth, 66, Ava, formerly of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, in Cox South Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born March 30, 1940, to Roscoe and Marie Booth in Collins, Miss. Larry was the youngest of four children, with two older brothers and one sister. He graduated from Fair Grove High School in 1957, and during high school began working as a meat cutter, a trade that later lead him to be a successful businessman. Larry owned Booth's So-Lo Market and two laundromats in Springfield. Larry married his first wife, June, in April 1962, with whom he had two daughters, Dara and Tara. On Sept. 19, 2005, Larry was united in marriage to Martha Stillings. He and Martha enjoyed scenic train rides and traveling during their time together. Larry came to know the Lord on April 4, 2002, and enjoyed attending the Highway Church of the Nazarene. He proudly served his country for two years in the National Guard. His passion in life was for antique cars and attending car shows, and as a young man even enjoyed drag racing. Larry also enjoyed fishing, boating, attending sporting events of his grandchildren and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter Dara. Larry is survived by his loving wife Martha; daughter Tara Dorsey and husband Brian of Springfield; three stepsons Leroy Stillings and wife Teresa, Leslie Stillings and wife Carla all of Ava and Mark Stillings and wife Barbie of Nixa; two brothers Hollis Booth of Brookline and Gene Booth and wife Maxine of Willard; sister Joan Highfill and husband Hunter of Springfield; two granddaughters Danielle and Nicole Dorsey; six step-grandsons; four step-great-granddaughters; two aunts Lucille Booth of Springfield and Freida Bruer of Alabama; uncle Vaughn Booth of Springfield; a very special niece Brenda Sloan and her children Jenny, Crissy and Dustin of Texas; the mother of his children June Booth; many close friends and other relatives. Mr. Charles William Borders, 76, of Bartlett, Ill., died Sunday, May 1, 2011, in his home with family at his side. He was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Bells, Tenn., the son of Willie and Bertha (Emerson) Borders. Charles married Lynette Belle, to whom he was a loving husband, companion, friend and buddy for 46 years. A hard working individual, Charles had a strong faith in God, and believed in personal responsibility. He enjoyed listening to Merle Haggard and the Gaither’s music and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings. Mrs. Anita Louise Borges, age 58, of Republic, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011, in her home, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 8, 1953 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Irene (Boone) Reigle. Anita was a 1971 graduate of Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon, Pa. After moving to Missouri, Anita was the former owner and manager of Stardust Video in Republic, and later had worked as a customer service representative for Salon Service Group in Springfield. Anita was an avid Coca-Cola collector and belonged to several collector clubs. She loved all animals, especially her beloved cats. Her parents preceded Anita in death. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Craig A. Borges; a daughter and her husband, Allyson and Scott Hicks, Clever, Mo.; two sisters, Laverene Garloff and Georgetta Pautz, Lebanon, Pa.; a brother, Bradley Reigle, Ocala, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Inez Borgstadt, 44, of Route 2, Aullville, who was killed in an automobile accident at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Missouri 13 north of Higginsville, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Harris Chapel at Nixa. Burial will be in Delaware Cemetery west of Nixa. Mrs. Borgstadt is survived by her husband, Leslie and their three-year-old daughter, Kathy Jane, who were both in the car at the time of the accident but were not seriously injured. She is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Karen Fern Fox, Willard; a son, Richard Harp, 1449 East Whiteside, Springfield; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Young, Nixa; a brother, Harry Young, Nixa; two sisters, Mrs. Fern Maples and Mrs. Elsie Reynolds, both of Nixa; four grandchildren and a step-grandchild.

Funeral services for Raymond Boriff, 45 who died October 8 at the home of his parents in Washington D. C. were held Sunday, October 13 at the Chaffin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sechler officiating. Burial was in the Weaver Cemetery under direction of Chaffin. Mr. Boriff was born March 3, 1912 at Sparta and for the past 16 years had been employed in government work in Washington, D. C. Rosary services for Mrs. Alice Katherine Bormann, 87, who died at 2 p.m. Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Albert Kitten of Route 2, Billings were held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Harris Chapel at Billings. Funeral mass was at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. William J. Connell officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Mrs. Bourmann was a native of Browne, Ia. and had lived in the Billings community since 1911. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Billings. She is survived by one other daughter, Mrs. Lean Arndt, Kansas City; two sons, Ben A. Bormann of Billings and John J. Bormann of Springfield, eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Billings - Rosary services for Ben A. Borman, 77, a former Billings resident, were held at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Cantrell Chapel here with the Rev. Jerry Aschbacher officiating. Funeral mass was Tuesday in St. Joseph Church with burial in the church cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Walker of Billings and Mrs. Maria Rice of Denver, one brother, John of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kitten, Billings and Mrs. Lena Arndt of Kansas City; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Rosary services for Mrs. Louisa E. Borman, 77, of Billings, were at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Cantrell Chapel in Billings, Funeral mass was at  9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. William F. Connell officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Billings, Mrs. Borman died at 10:15 p.m. Sunday in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, following a lingering illness. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving are her husband, Ben A. Borman; two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Walker, Billings and Mrs. Bennie Marie Rice, Denver, Colo; three sisters, Mrs. Augusta Wissbaum and Mrs. Margaret  Hunter, both of Springfield, and Mrs. Theresa Lehman, Billings; one brother, Henry Huber, Billings; four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Matthew Borman, 82, a retired farmer, died at his home in Billings April 30. He was born in Clinton county, Iowa, and as a young man lived for a short time in the state of Georgia. He moved to the Billings community in 1911. He was a member of the St. Joseph church of Billings. Rosary services were held Sunday evening at the Maples Chapel in Billings. Survivors are his wife, Alice; two sons, Ben of Billings and John of Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Marry Kitten of Billings and Mrs. L. C. Arndt of Kansas City; one brother and one sister. Funeral services were held Monday morning in the St. Joseph church by Rev. Gervass Ingoldsby with burial in the church cemetery under direction of the Maples Funeral Home of Billings.

Elaine Jemes Born, 67, of Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, died Jan. 19 in the home of her daughter, with whom she lived in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Services for Mrs. Born were held Jan. 23 in the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, Lancaster. She was born in Marshfield to Charles M, and Ottie Hyde Jemes, and was married to Byron A. Born, who preceded her in death in 1985. Mrs. Born was a graduate of SMSU. She formerly taught school at the Sunshine Grade School, and later served there as assistant to the principal. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Adams Letter Company in New York City for 35 years. Mrs. Born was a founding member and member of the Board of Directors of the Wedgwood Society of New York. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara B. Sniffin, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Karen B. Presswood, Annapolis, Maryland; four granddaughters; four sisters, Mary Harper, Ozark, Betty Davis, Seal Beach, California; Frances Campbell, Riverside, California, and Crysteen Puett, Niangua; and two brothers, Thomas Jemes, Houston, Texas, and William Jemes, Des Moines, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Albert Bos, 67, Billings was dead on arrival at Cox Medical Center South E.R., Saturday November 19, 1994 at 5:32 p.m. of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Bos was a member of St. John’s Chapel United Church of Christ in Springfield. He was an award winning dairyman, a registered Holstein cattle breeder and was the current Vice President of the Christian County Farm Bureau. A Member of the D.G.I.A. and the A.S.C.S. He was a past Director of Mid-Am Dairymen, Southern Division,  a former Billings School Board Member and a contractor. He is survived by his wife; Sue, 3 sons and their wives; Henry and Debbie Bos, Albert and Angela Bos, Jr. and Ralph and Sandee Bos, all of Billings; a daughter and her husband,: Alice Sue and Glen Wilken of Crane, 1 brother, Eikle Bos of the Netherlands, 2 sisters; Tina Boerema of Pantego, North Carolina and Ali Dalling of the Netherlands, 12 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Tuesday 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Chapel United Church of Christ, Springfield, with Pastor John E. Masters officiating.
