Deeds, Bettie A. (Nash) 1850 - 21 May 1904 CCR 16 Jun 1904
[Note: Daughter of Henry C. & Charlotte M. (Adams) Nash; married Aug 1897 Joshua Thompson Deeds Oct 1845 - 29 Jul 1934; tombstone gives 1848 - 23 May 1904 lifespan]
Bettie A. Nash was born in Christian county, Mo. in 1850. She was married to J. T. Deeds Aug. 1897. Sister Deeds joined the Baptist church almost thirty-five years ago and lived a consistent christian life until the day of her death. She died May 21st 1904. She leaves a husband, two brothers, a sister and a host of friends to mourn their loss. But their loss is her eternal gain. We laid her body in the tomb in Prospect cemetery, there to await the resurrection morn, where we all hope to meet her in our eternal home. That once loved form now cold and dead, Each mournful thought employs; We weep our earthly comforts fled And withered all our joys. Hope looks beyond the bounds of time When what we now deplore Shall rise in full immortal And bloom to fade no more. A Friend
