MY DAD

Well, I just lost a good friend, the best I ever had; or I should say this one was special Because he was a Dad. My Lord, if only you had told me it was time for him to go, Maybe I could have told him some of the times I wanted him to know. I’d tell him about those little quarrels When he thought I was so mean. It was just my Temper - I didn’t mean a thing. We’d talk about those horseback rides And fishing in the creek. I’d tell him how I’d prayed When he was sick and weak. We’d talk about the Christmas programs, We attended at a near-by church. I thank him for not being too tired to take us Although he’d spent the day at work I’d tell him he must be quite a guy By choosing such a mother. And I really wouldn’t change a thing When it came to my sisters and brothers. I’d put my arm about his neck And lay a hand upon his knee And say, “You think  it will be hard for you to leave, Well, what do you think about me. I’d say, Thank you for everything. Don’t worry about us when you’re gone. You and the Lord get things ready For the rest of us when we get Home. Your Baby Cinda, April 5. 1978.

Manslaughter Charges Filed in Crash Deaths

Steven Emerson, 18, Sparta, is expected to appear in court here Friday for further action in a manslaughter charge filed against him in connection with the deaths of four persons as the result of an auto collision near Billings. Emerson was ticketed originally for improper passing. “Four people died and I don’t think the minor charge is the correct one,” said Assistant Prosecutor Tim McCormick.
