Just before noon Wednesday a young lady about 18 years old by the name of Hale, the daughter of J. C. (Bud) Hale, of Logan Township, committed suicide at the home of H. W. Wilson, at Nixa where she was working as a domestic. Miss Hale is a sister of young Hale who committed suicide by shooting himself at Battlefield about four weeks ago. The means used by the unfortunate girl was the old carbolic acid method and the result was fatal in a few minutes. No reason is known for the rash act except despondency. Coroner Smith of Sparta held an inquest Wednesday evening, but we have not further particulars as we go to press.
