Charles E. Morton, 70, of Springfield, died at 7:55 a.m. June 28 in his home following a six month illness. Services for Mr. Morton were held June 30 in the Ayre-Goodwin-Lee Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Peter DeVeau and James Nutter officiating. Burial with military honors was held in Springfield National Cemetery. Mr. Morton had retired from the Harry Cooper Supply Company in 1980, after 31 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict, having served his country from 1940-45 and again 1950-51. He received the Purple Heart during the Normandy Campaign. In 1937, he graduated from high school, where he played softball. At that time, the first amateur softball league was formed in Springfield, and he became an active player in that league. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 676 and the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Helen; a son, Charles "Chuck," Springfield; two daughters, Jeanne Lang, Wheaton, Illinois, and M. Marsha Green, Sherman, Texas two brothers, Chester, Springfield, and Jack, Ozark; a sister, Louise Melton, St. Louis; and 13 grandchildren.

Cynthia Pond was born March 17, 1870, and died at Clever, Mo., on Jan. 5, 1937. She was married to Pearly Morton in 1887. The husband preceded her in death by six years. She is survived by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 6,1937, at the M.E. Church in Clever with Rev. Young officiating. Burial was made in the Wise Hill cemetery under the direction of the Wilburn Maples Funeral Home of Clever.

Jack R. Morton, age 64, of Ozark, died in his home, Thursday, Jan. 11, 1996 at 7:05 p.m. He was born May 11, 1931 in Springfield, Missouri, and was the son of William Thomas and Mary Jane Cheatham Morton. He was a lifelong resident of the Springfield and Ozark area. Following his retirement from the State Highway Department, Jack did volunteer work for the American Cancer Society for several years. He was a Korean War Veteran, and an active member of American Legion Post 676, in Springfield. Survivors include: Three children, Cathy Novak, San Antonio, Texas, Nancy Rose, Springfield, and Jeff Morton, Tulsa, Okla.; two granddaughters, Susan and Brandy; two great-grandchildren, Joey and Erinlee; one brother, Chester Morton, Springfield; one sister, Louise Melton, Springfield; his mother-in-law, Agnes Hilton, Ozark; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by: His parents; his wife, Phyllis; and three brothers, Harry, Carl and Charles Morton. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 15, 1996, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with the Rev. Jerry Applegate officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Veteran's Memorial Team were in McCoy Cemetery near Ozark. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Christian County Chapter.

Phyllis J. Morton, 51, Ozark, died Thursday morning in her mother’s home. She was born June 1,1941 in Ozark and lived in the Ozark and Springfield area throughout her life. On July 21, 1969, she married Jack Morton. She retired after 29 years as funeral director for Ayre-Goodwin Funeral Home, Springfield. Most recently, she was employed by Physician’s Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church, Hope Cancer Support Group and American Legion Post #676 Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her father, Loyal Hilton; and a daughter Stephanie. Survivors included her husband, Jack; her mother, Agnes Hilton, Ozark; a brother Rick Hilton and his wife Karen, Chadwick; three step-children, Cathie Novak, San Antonio, Texas, Nancy Rose, Springfield and Jeff Morton, St. Louis; two step-grandchildren, a step-great-grandson; two uncles; six aunts; and a hose of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Blevins and Hershel Satterfield officiating. Burial will be in McCoy Cemetery. Vera Morton was born March 14, 1920, to Robert Thomas Boles and Vida Emma (West) Boles in Koshkonong, Missouri. She passed away peacefully on March 8, 2006, after a brief illness. Vera was a graduate of Burge School of Nursing in 1942. She was married to Frank Remington Morton May 12, 1944. To this union were born two daughters, Janice Olivia and Karen Sue. Vera was a nurse in Bremerton, Washington, during World War II. She most enjoyed being a homemaker and a mother. Her roses were the pride of the neighborhood and she was active in PTA, Bluebirds and Campfire Girls when her daughters were young. In 1963 she completed a refresher course in nursing and returned to St. John's Hospital as a charge nurse for a brief period and followed that as a plant nurse at Dayco. She assisted her husband at the Buck Morton Drug Company for a number of years as well. Vera was a fierce and competitive bridge player and was an avid golf fan. She enjoyed reading, and most of all, being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, who died July 27, 1994; four brothers, Kenneth, Wesley, Teddy and Marvin; and two sisters, Vivian and Velma. She is survived by her sister, Marie Dorrell, Warsaw, Mo.; daughters, Janice Morton Throop and husband, Dan, Forsyth, Mo., and Karen Morton Yancey and husband, David, Springfield; grandchildren, Ryan Lee Peebles, Charlottesville, Va., Joy Lynn Wolf and husband, Jim, Springfield, Robin Remington Yancey, Fayetteville, Ark.; and seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Dr. Randy Halley and the staff at Ozark Riverview Manor for the loving care she received over the last three years. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today, March 10, 2006, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the Brentwood Chapel. URAVAN, Colo. - Albert Alexander Morwood, 78, of Amoret, Mo. the father of Mrs. Joe Willoughby of Uravan, died at 6:05 p.m. last Thursday in his daughter’s home. In ill health for some time, he came here five weeks ago. Mr. Morwood was born in Mulberry, Mo. and spent his early life in the Amoret area. He later lived in Ozark, Mo for 30 years, then returned to Amoret. He was a retired barber. He was married in Amoret June 2, 1909 to Hattie Cheshier. He was  a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Willoughby are his wife; another daughter, Mrs. J. C. Harris of Rifle, Colo.; a son L. J. Morwood of St. George, Utah; a brother, Harry Morwood of Amsterdam, Mo; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Anderson of Amoret; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were held in Rifle Sunday afternoon under direction of Sowder Funeral Home

Andrew Morwood was born in Philadelphia Sept. 19, 1850, and died Feb. 21, 1937, aged 86 years and five months. He was united in marriage at Toulon, Ill., on Dec. 25, 1876, to Sarah Jane Porter. To this union six children were born, Johnnie, who died in infancy; Agnes Anderson of Amsterdam; Isabel Morwood, at home; Harry of Amsterdam; Albert of Ozark; and Clyde of Springfield. The surviving children were with him in his last hours. Besides the widow and children he is survived by 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, five nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Morwood’s early life was spent in Illinois and Iowa, coming to Missouri about 65 years ago. He was the oldest of a family of 11children, all of whom preceded him in death. He united with the United Presbyterian church at Mulberry, Mo., when a young man and had been an elder in the church for many years. He was a faithful Christian and will be sadly missed by all his relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at his home in Amsterdam, with burial in the Mulberry cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie M. Morwood, 92, Grand Junction, Colo. formerly of Ozark, were held in Rifle, Colo. on Feb. 15. She died in Grand Junction Fe. 11. She and her late husband moved to Ozark in 1927 form Amoret. He was a barber. In 1962, they moved to Colorado. Survivors include a son, Lawrence J. Morwood,  St. George, Utah; two daughters, Mrs. Jack C. (Doris) Harris, Rifle and Mrs. Joe (Winona) Willoughby, Grand Junction; a brother, Wayne Chesier, Hopkinsville, Ky.; a sister, Mrs. Effie E. Mrs. Stella Nash Kessinger Moseley passed away Feb. 12 in a Sacramento, Calif. hospital at the age of 87 years after a long illness. Funeral services were held Feb. 14 under the directions of the Neuman Funeral Home in Sacramento. Following the services, the body was cremated. The remains were received by the Adams Funeral Home for burial in the family plot in the Prospect Cemetery southeast of  Ozark. She was a native of Missouri but moved to California about 30 years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bircha Demuth, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter of Sacramento.

Mrs. Alma E. Moses, 59, former resident of Sparta, died at her home in Springfield Sunday evening after a long illness. A member of Sparta Church of Christ, Mrs. Moses moved with her family to Springfield 20 years ago. Surviving are her husband, Frank; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Barr of Sparta and Mrs. Betty Wikliffe of Kansas City; a son, Fred of Springfield; a sister, Mrs. Louise Marcum of Conway; two brothers, Harry Cowan of Springfield and Waylen Cowan of Sparta; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Sparta Church of Christ with elder Elmer Butler in charge. Burial was made in the Cowan cemetery.

Archie Rex Moses was born September 21, 1908 at Sparta, to Sam and Ida (Kissee) Moses. He was united in marriage in 1930 to Muriel Sarah Campbell. Archie was a farmer and carpenter by trade. He was a member of Sparta Church of Christ. Archie was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters: Gertrude Maggard, Viola and Violet Moses; one brother: Ernest Moses, and a daughter Doris Irene Moses. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Muriel; one daughter Dema Johns, Sparta; one sister, Dorothy Thomas, Springfield; sister-in-law Pearl Campbell, Sparta; two granddaughters, Pamela Beyers and husband Steve, Sparta; Deanna Butts and husband Randy, California; three great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, 2 step-great-granddaughter, one great-great-granddaughter, four step-great-great-granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Wednesday, October 21, at 2 p.m. in Harris, a Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Ozark. Burial followed in Sparta Cemetery, Sparta. Visitation was Tuesday, October 20th from 7-8 p.m. in the funeral home.

A lifelong Sparta resident, Mr. Moses was a retired dairy and stock farmer. He was a member of the Sparta Church of Christ. Esta Moses, 92, Sparta, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1993 in Nixa Park Care Center. She was born March 2, 1901 at Bruner, the daughter of William Charles Smith and Mary Isabelle McHaffie Smith. She lived throughout her life in the Sparta area and was a member of the Sparta Church of Christ. Until recently she was able to enjoy working on her farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Roscoe Moses; a son, Samuel Arlie Moses; and brothers and sisters, Charley, Pearl, Grace, Corda and Lawrence. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Hightower, Sparta; five grandchildren, Keith Moses, Bloomington, Ill., Sam Moses, Pekin, Ill., Vicki Crump, Vale, N.C. Carl Hightower, Sparta, and Kevin Hightower, Sparta; six great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lula Hurt, Springfield; Iva Rogers, Bruner; Eva Bellman, Elkland, and Nellie Robinson, Springfield; and one brother, Simon Smith, Bruner. Muriel Louise Moses, 77, Nixa, died Wednesday, May 5, 1993 at 8:40 p.m. at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. She was born Oct. 20, 1915 in Denville, N.J., the daughter of Thomas and Iva Lynch Lash. In 1935, she was united in marriage to Wilbert E. Moses in Elizabeth, N.J. She was retired from RCA Manufacturing. She was a member of Nixa Assembly of God and a 63-year member of Trinity Christian Center, Elizabeth, N.J. before moving to Nixa. She was also a member of the Clark Senior Citizen Organization. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her husband, Wilbert; a son, Walley Moses, and his wife, Debra, Springfield; two brothers, Marshall Lash and Howard Lash, and his wife, Marge, both of Denville, N.J.; a sister, Essie Bollinger, Tucson, Ariz.; and two grandchildren, Karri and Erynn Moses, Springfield. Services were held Monday, May 10, at Harris, a Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, Nixa, with the Reverends Don Blansit and Herschel Rosser officiating. Burial was in the Springfield National Cemetery.

Muriel Sarah Moses, 91, Sparta, died at 9:59 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield. She was born Jan. 26, 1912, in Christian County, the daughter of John and Eliza (Lawson) Campbell.  In 1930 she was united in marriage to Archie Rex Moses and to this union two daughters were born. They shared 68 years of marriage together before Archie passed away in 1998. During her years in Sparta she was a lifelong member of the Sparta Church of Christ where she participated in all aspects of the church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and known as "Granny" to the many children she cared for throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Archie Rex Moses; daughter Doris Irene Moses; great grandson Jonathon Butts; two brothers Raymond Campbell and Chess Campbell; and a sister Linda Snider. Muriel is survived by her daughter, Dema Johns, Sparta; twin sister, Pearl Campbell, Sparta; two granddaughters, Pam Beyers and husband Steve, Sparta, and Deanna Butts and husband Randy, California, Mo.; three great-grandsons, Kevin Weter and wife Karyn, Sparta, Travis Butts and wife Angie, Pompano Beach, Fla.; and Jeremy Butts, California, Mo.; two great-granddaughters, Stephenie Reynolds and husband Marcus, Bolivar, and Tara Butts, California, Mo.; two step-great-granddaughters; two great-great-granddaughters; eight step-great-great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Jan. 19 in Barnes Family Funeral Home with Dwayne Bray and Greely Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial was in Sparta Cemetery, Sparta. Samuel E. Moses, 69, died suddenly Monday, Oct. 31, at his home in Sparta, MO, Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Sparta Baptist Church of which he was a member.  Rev. Ross Carter officiated.  In 1920 Mr. Moses was married to Miss Ida Florence Kissee who preceded him in death twenty years ago.  Survivors are three of his six children, Mrs. Dorothy Bilyeu of Rogersville and Rex and Ernest Moses of Sparta; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three brothers, Harry of Ridgefield, CN, Bentley of Van Nuys, CA, and Frank of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Walker of Las Angeles, CA and Mrs. George Hall of Leslie, AR.  Burial was in the Sparta cemetery under direction of the Chaffin Funeral Home of Ozark.

Wilbert Edgar Moses, age 86, of Nixa, died Thursday, April 1, 1999 in Cox Medical Center South; Springfield. He was born January 4, 1914 in Roselle, New Jersey. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Before retirement Mr. Moses worked as a house painter. He was a member of Nixa Assembly of God Church. His first wife, Muriel preceded him in death in 1993. Survivors include: his wife of five years, Rosetta; a son, Walter Moses and his wife, Debbie, Springfield; two grandchildren, Karri and Erynn Moses; four stepchildren, Rosemary Ford, Edgar Lee, Nancy Beers, and Judith Moran; numerous step grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Derwin Moses; and a sister, Gail Hyatt. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Monday, April 5, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Rev. Don Blansit officiating. Burial was in Springfield National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Veterans Memorial Team. Visitation was from 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Funeral services for Alfred Mosher, 73, who died at his farm northeast of Hurley on March 7, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Union Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. R. W. Forbis officiating. Burial was in the Cemetery there under direction of Harris of Clever. He was converted at an early age and was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1899 at Pleasant View Baptist Church near Highlandville. He taught school in Christian and Stone Counties for a number of years before retiring to his farm near Hurley. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dora Mosher, one daughter, Mrs. Alta Herrell of Kansas City, two sisters and other relatives.

Johnnie Willard Mosher, age 44, of Ozark, passed away Monday, April 10, 2006. He was born July 1, 1961, in Barstow, California, the son of Kenneth and Lucy (Hyden) Mosher. His father preceded him in death. Johnnie had worked as a brick layer. On October 26, 1996, he and Joy Lynn McCormack were married. Johnnie was always ready with a joke for anyone. He enjoyed his animals, and spending time on the road on his motorcycle. Survivors include his wife, Joy; his mother, Lucy Clark and husband, Bill, Springfield; two sisters, Lena Moss and husband, Lewis, and Linda Moss and husband, Larry, all of South Carolina; two brothers, Mike Mosher and wife, Janet, Springfield, and Bob Mosher, Willard; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews; other relatives and friends. Judy Frances Moss, age 80, of Ozark, died Sunday, July 13, 1998, in James River Care Center Springfield, Missouri. She was born September 2, 1917 in Mineola, Texas and was the daughter of Yancy & Minnie (Epperson) Moss. Judy attended the Assembly of God Bible School in Waxahatchie, Texas and became an ordained minister. She was an evangelist and served as pastor for churches in Louisiana, Arkansas, Iowa and Missouri fifty-five years. Survivors include a sister, Mauva Nunn, DeDoto, Texas; three sisters-in-law, four nephews and three nieces; and a very good friend, Dorothy Marks, Ozark. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a sister. Funeral services were Friday, July 17, in Slade O’Donnell Funeral Home, Leon, Iowa with Rev Norman Tosten ad Rev, Dee Lynn officiating. Burial was in Corydon Cemetery, Corydon, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Motsinger, in 1981 Mrs, Motsinger was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Floried Estes Mount, age 91, Springfield, passed away June 19, 2008, after going to bed as usual only to ascend into her final heavenly retreat following a ten year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born to Leonard and Winnie Estes in Clever, Missouri, on February 19, 1917. She graduated from Clever High School. In 1939, she married Vencil Mount who predeceased her in 2006. She was the secretary and office manager for the Republic School System for 36 years. Flower gardening and craft work were passionate hobbies, however, her most thrilling and fulfilling experience was being able to study art at the University of Missouri in Columbia. In addition, she enjoyed her volunteer work at St. John's Hospital. In addition to Vencil, she was preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers, Robert and Clarence. Survivors include her sisters, Verna Bowen-Kuzas and her husband, Tony; Marcella Meacheam and husband, Edwin; a niece, Charlotte Martin and her husband, David; a nephew, Ronald L. Bowen and his wife, Sam; a great-nephew, Mike Martin; two great-great-nephews; a great-niece, Malinda and two great-great-nieces. He was an active member of Church of the Nazarene in Marshall before moving to Ozark in 1991. He was most recently a member of Church of the Nazarene in Ozark. Betty Arlene Mounts, age 81, of Ozark, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007. She was born August 1, 1925, in Cedar, Iowa, the daughter of Orlan and Mabel (Byers) Wells. On July 15, 1950, she and Ben Carol Mounts were united in marriage. Mrs. Mounts was a faithful servant of her Lord. She loved her church and her family, and was a fiercely loving grandmother. She had been a member of Ozark Church of the Nazarene for the past 16 years, since moving from Marshall, Missouri. Survivors include: four children and their spouses, Paul and Kathy Mounts, St. Louis, Stephen and Anita Mounts, Fresno, California, Dan and Beth Mounts, Republic, and Mary Lynn and Ken Chamberlain, Springfield; six grandchildren, Brian Mounts, Kathleen Mounts, Joshua Chamberlain, Heather Chamberlain, Jessica Mounts and Dylan Mounts; and a sister, Pat Hild, Hot Springs, Arkansas. Mrs. Mourning was born July 25, 1958, to Jammie and Virginia (Wade) Porter. She was a 1976 graduate of Logan-Rogersville High School, and attended the West Finley Baptist Church. She was married to Kenny Mourning, who survives of the home. Michael "Mike" Raymond Muehl, age 67, of Nixa, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at his home and was delivered into God's loving arms on Tuesday, September 13th, 2011. He was born in Granville, Iowa on June 9th, 1944 to Myrtle and Arnold Muehl. Mike served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was owner of ADCO Industrial Sales. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle as well as a caring friend to all. Mike and Nancy (Istas) were married November 25th, 1967 and made their home in Blaine, Minnesota for over 30 years before moving to Nixa, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Myrtle Muehl, his mother and father-in-law Buck and LaVada Istas, and a brother-in-law, Bill Weiland. He is survived by his wife Nancy and four daughters: Mindy Pazen and husband Kevin of Ramsey, MN; Missy Delaney and husband Jeff of Elkhorn, NE; Christi Frechette and husband Tom of Rochester, MN and Teresa Kaelin and husband Derek of Springfield, MO, and nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. Siblings Mary Louise Sauer and husband Joe, Pauline Ney and husband Jim, and brother Steve and wife Betty. Mike was an avid golfer and one of his proudest moments was when he got a hole in one on September 15th, 2003. His memory will be cherished by his golf partners, his breakfast buddies and many friends and relatives who loved him. OZARK - Graveside services for 9-month-old Angela E. Mueller, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Mueller of Route 2, Ozark, were at 2 p.m. Monday in National Cemetery, with the Rev. Thomas McPlain officiating. The Mueller infant was found dead in her bed Thursday.

Memorial services for Ruth A. Mueller, 68, Nixa, were held Oct. 22 in Christ Church Unity, Springfield, with the Rev. J. Douglas Bottoroff officiating. The body was cremated under the direction of Adams of Ozark. Mrs. Mueller died Oct. 18 in her home of apparent natural causes. She was a member of Christ Church Unity, Springfield. Survivors include her husband, Adolph and a son, Drew, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Services for Myrtle Mugley, 69, Hollister, were held Dec. 1 in Whelchel Chapel in Branson with the Rev. Richard Claar officiating. Burial was in Ozarks Memorial Park, Branson. Mrs. Mugley died Nov. 28 in Skaggs Community Hospital, Branson, after a short illness. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lou Sansom, Hollister, and Mrs. Velma Rea, Columbia; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Birdwell, Walnut Shade, Mrs. Edith Sims, Burney, Calif., and Mrs. Ruby Kissee, Billings; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Branson Bible Church.

SPARTA - John A. Muilenburg, 82, Sparta, died at 11 p.m. Monday at his home after several months illness. A native of Hospers, Iowa, he came to Sparta in 1934 from Pipestone, Minn. Mr. Muilenburg was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Lula; a son, Earl and a daughter, Mrs. Henrietta Oreston, both of Sparta; a brother, Bass, of Orange City, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Webeke, of Orange City, Iowa, Mrs. Helen Webeke, Newell, Iowa. and Mrs. Mary VanBockel, Minneapolis, Minn; and 11 grandchildren. Arrangements will be announced by Harris of Ozark.

Accident Proves Fatal

An Oklahoma woman died in a 8:40 motorcycle accident Friday about four miles north on Ozark on Highway 65. Janet C. Mulkey of Bixby, Okla, was dead on arrival at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. Her husband, John B. Mulkey, 36, was also taken to St. John’s for treatment of numerous abrasions and cuts. The highway patrol said the accident occurred when Mulkey was slowing for a vehicle which was going to make a left turn. Mulkey lost control, overturned on the highway and skidded off the right side of the road.

Hildegard Emma Muller, 84, Ozark, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004, in Ozark Nursing and Care Center. She was born to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Hohl) Halma in New York City, NY on Sept. 9, 1919. Hildegard met and married Robert Leopold Oscar Muller on Oct. 27, 1946, in New York City, NY. She worked as an executive secretary for an office products company and Scholastic Magazine in Norwood, NJ. She was a member of the Norwood Presbyterian Church, past president of the Norwood PTA, and past secretary of the Norwood Senior Citizens Club. She was also a member of the Stoneshire Ladies Group. Mrs. Muller was trained as a concert pianist and enjoyed oil painting on canvas both floral stills and landscapes. Surviving are her children, Robert H. Muller of Emporia, KS, Hildegard A. Danso of Boston, MA, and Elizabeth C. Muller of Nixa, MO. She is also survived by her three grandsons, Andrew, Karl and Mark Danso, all of Boston, MA. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2004, at 10 a.m. in the Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service Rivermonte Chapel. The body will be cremated and there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Hildegard's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 1500 S. Glenstone, Springfield, MO 65804, with envelopes provided at the funeral home. Funeral services for Saundra Lea Muller, 57, of Cedar Creek, will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. in the Forsyth Whelchel Chapel with Father Richard Kellogg officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Saundra Lea Muller departed this life on Sept. 16, 2003, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Mo. She was born June 2, 1946, at Pine Ridge, Mo., to Homer T. and Agnes (Baker) Ingenthron. She was a real estate broker and certified appraiser. She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Muller of the home; one daughter, Jolena Heavin and husband of Ozark, Mo.; two grandchildren, Brodie and Emile Heavin; four sisters, Pat Wright and husband Gale of Ozark, Mo., Glessie Claybaugh and husband Ken of Arvada, Wyo., Jean Chorn and husband Ernie of Stockton, Mo., and Sharon Brown of Republic, Mo.; two brothers, Randall Ingenthron and wife Maxine of Taneyville, Mo., and Joey Ingenthron of Reeds Spring, Mo.; and one aunt and uncle, Joy and H. R. Owen of Forsyth, Mo. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
