Clifton Park Killed
Word was received here Monday evening that Clifton Park was instantly killed at 4:20 that afternoon by a premature blast in the mine he was working in at Galena, Kan. Cliff and his sweetheart were here last Sunday with the excursionists, the guests of Will Collier. We cannot tell where, when or how death will meet us and “always ready” is a good motto. We sympathize with the bereaved parents for Cliff was a good boy just in the full bloom of young adulthood, with all he might be yet before him. The remains were taken to his home near Garrison Tuesday for interment.
